Training-video production and online learning for field safety

An occupational safety training company serving utility, telecom, and government field forces

A production crew films a controlled dog-bite safety lesson for utility field workers.

Context

An occupational safety trainer serving utility, telecom and government field forces wanted to turn expert-led dog-bite prevention instruction into training that employers could deliver consistently across locations.

Engagement

We helped develop the training media and interactive learning experience in 2011–2012, then partnered on the online university, employer delivery and ongoing support. The engagement covered content production as well as the technology used to distribute it.

What we delivered

  • Instructional structure, scriptwriting and revisions, module sequencing and production coordination with specialist editing, narration/recording and interactive-media partners.
  • Ten core training-video modules, interactive scenarios and quizzes, with encoding, branded presentation and client review.
  • A standalone training disc and a separate twelve-lesson Safety Talk DVD, including menus, navigation and revised masters.
  • Captivate-based assessment and AICC/SCORM packaging, completion/retry logic, media compression and customer LMS testing and troubleshooting.
  • A branded online university with employer portals, progress tracking and HR exports; later Canvas delivery included digital badges and bulk awards.

Outcome

Client approvals, disc receipt and revised-master shipment document the production work. Customer testing confirmed working lesson and scenario packages, while the hosted offering supported field crews in the United States and an Australian employer, with Canvas activity through 2023.

The work connected training production, interactive instruction and sustained delivery. Proposed language editions and later course drafts are separate from these completed deliverables; production specialists contributed filming, editing, voice and interactive assets.
