## Context

Santa Barbara City College's Educational Programs–Business department launched industry-endorsed, not-for-credit digital badges to help students get entry-level jobs or up-skill, issued through Pearson Acclaim.

## Engagement

Acclaim verifies badges but does not promote them. We were asked to design a regional badge catalogue portal for the South Central Coast consortium that would market each badge, and the courses behind it, to students, employers, and other colleges.

## What we delivered

A fixed-bid design covering college and badge home pages, badge criteria and course mappings, tag-based search, a self-service course-maintenance screen for each college, a secure curriculum resource library, and reusable components integrating the Pearson Acclaim API for badge definitions, issuer profiles, and award counts — plus the badge artwork set of more than fifty badges.

## Outcome

The catalogue was specified on a fixed budget with delivery scheduled for July 2015, and the badge artwork set was produced — giving the consortium a single place to present credentials that employers had endorsed.

Generated images are illustrations, not photographs of actual client projects or evidence of delivery. Archive artifacts are separately identified on the source pages.
