## Context

California cities and fire authorities face long delays resolving medical disputes in police and fire workers' compensation claims. A workers' compensation administrator helps agencies implement the "carve-out" alternative dispute resolution (ADR) allowed by state law.

## Engagement

As the administrator's technology and marketing partner, we built the firm's website and sales materials and documented the City of Long Beach program as a case study.

## What we delivered

- The Long Beach ADR case study and implementation-team service descriptions.
- Website and pitch copy, a claims-audit proposal to a county fire authority (2014), and exhibitor materials for the California joint-powers-authority community.
- CRM and audit-automation tooling.

## Outcome

Documented for Long Beach: under ADR, the average time from dispute to resolution fell from 234 to 59 days for police claims and from 215 to 63 days for fire claims, and independent medical exam costs fell 27% and 7% respectively.
